WEEK 5

22 SEPTERMBER 2022 – SAGUENAY CANADA The day did not go according to plan,we had to cancel our date night because  a patient made a turn for the worst and that carried on right through the night at one stage did not think he was going to make the night,so talk about stress levels for my dear hubby. I got up early to get some fresh air and see the sail into the Saguenay River but no sunrise to see was overcast and very chilly but still sat on deck 12 with cup of coffee , croissant and a stunning view just wilderness. We were going to get to port earlier to get the patient to hospital and arrived at  9 instead of 11  o clock. This beautiful little town were ready to welcome us again with there dancing music and thank goodness this time round the captain blew the horn just after we docked so everyone in town new we had arrived. While I was standing on deck 7 listening to the music a ambulance was waiting for the patient and next thing the patient is loaded in...

Week 4

9 SEPTEMBER 2022 : QUEBEC CITY CANADA We arrived early but what a disappointment we docked in the industrial area about 25 minutes walk from down town anyway I got off the ship and then it was a case of get going for I wanted to be back at the ship by 14h00 so did not have all day to walk around.Another big cruise liner had taken our spot in the downtown area so hope we have it back with our next visit. Not far from the docks I passed a huge veggie garden that I thought was very cool this seems to be the trend at the moment. On my way to the top of the hill I passed policemen closing off streets and putting barriers up then I knew something was going on , a few meters away I saw a poster with the words  Le Grand Prix Cycliste Quebec. My first stop was the stunning Chateau Frontenac Hotel with a petite French lady singing the most beautiful French music right in-front of the hotel. The inside of this hotel just takes your breath away and you walk back in time, beautiful is a un...

BAR HARBOUR / CHARLOTTETOWN / SYNDEY / HALIFAX/ SAGUENAY / QUEBEC   2 SEPTEMBER 2022 : BOSTON/USA This morning the telephone woke us , hubby was called to see a patient that had chest pain so off he went and I was lazy to get up.I got off after breakfast and my first stop was just sitting at the terminal building doing the free wifi thing.Posted week 2 of my blog and then took a walk in another direction towards downtown. A lot of building going on in the seaport area which is great to see, think it will be stunning once all the work has been done.Really makes me sad to think what we could have in Port Elizabeth with all the possibilities and don’t have. I went to the Boston Tea Party to have tea in Abigails tea room, they have 5 different teas you can try and have a cup of the one you prefer, next time I am going to have a scone too. Bieg tyd, our teas taste a lot better rooibos , glen and five roses! Another beautiful sunny day in Boston not as hot as last week, made walking arou...

27 AUGUST 2022 - BOSTON   I was up early to get ready for my immigration visit, did not take too long then I had to get my new room keycard for the next cruise and was glad to have a nice breakfast before I got off the ship and walk around.Doing it on my own for hubby cant join me today,  it is hot outside so not really pleasant to walk around.Am spoilt we are use to driving around with a air-con, they said was going to be 31 degrees and very humid. I took Summer Street towards downtown and just kept walking until I got to a big park with a area called frog pond and a little playground called tadpole playground, thought that was cute. Made a stop at MACY,S and our old favourite CVS. Took time to just sit in the park and enjoy the surroundings, that is one thing in the states that is lovely, they have parks in the middle of the city, green spaces.Took a photo of a guy who was sleeping with a cigarette behind his ear, he started smoking it then it actually fell out of his h...
